The practical answer
ArtCraft can mean two related but different things. The 13 Craft Apps are separate, free, open-source tools for jobs such as image editing, documents and spreadsheets. ArtCraft Launcher helps find, install and update those apps. The separate ArtCraft AI creation studio has a browser and desktop entry, an account step, and optional paid plans for hosted generation credits. Choose by the task you need; downloading a Craft App does not mean buying a studio plan.

This page is not a hands-on test of Launcher installation, every creative app or AI generation. It does not assign an overall score. The official Craft Apps directory lists native installers for macOS, Windows and Linux. It also lists browser builds for 12 apps; FilmCraft is not in that browser-build list as checked on 27 October 2026. Availability and release details can change, so use each app's official page for the current package.
What looks useful, and what remains unproven here
Useful now: The app list is task-based and allows a single-app start. You can use Launcher for a collection or visit an individual app's official page and release list. The apps are described by the publisher as free and open source. The studio offers a separate path for AI image and video creation, so users can avoid confusing its credit plans with the Craft Apps.
Still needs a task test: An installer being listed does not establish that a particular app meets your workflow, preserves your complex files, runs well on your machine or replaces a mature professional tool. The publisher marks several Craft Apps as early alpha or in development. We have not measured Launcher reliability, creative export quality, AI generation results or performance across systems. For a file handoff, test the actual recipient software; one successful DOCX sample cannot stand in for all Office files.
Costs: The official Craft Apps directory calls the 13 apps free. The studio pricing page offers subscription tiers and one-time credits; it also says ArtCraft can be used without a subscription when you bring your own compute or third-party subscriptions. Check the live pricing page for the current amount, credit rules and service terms. Do not infer that every hosted AI generation is free.
A sensible first session
- Pick one task: one image, one document or a small creative project. Avoid installing every app just to decide whether ArtCraft is useful.
- Use Get ArtCraft Apps to choose the free Craft App route or the separate AI studio route. For a Craft App, follow its official page or the official Launcher release.
- Keep the original input. Finish a small edit, save an output and reopen it. If another person needs the file, test it in their receiving app.
- Record the app version, system, format and any unexpected result. Follow the relevant official release and issue tracker before treating a missing feature or one error as a universal product limit.
